Discuss with DDS: The dentist usually checks the occlusion with articulating paper, so the bite will not be in hyper or hypo-occlusion. If you feel that the bite is off, discuss this with your dentist and have the lab add more porcelain if a PFM or remake if a zirconia crown. It is unlikely the teeth will "grow".

Not normal: A new dental crown should touch the opposing teeth. See your dentist for a bite strip test that he or she can use to check your bite.
