Some people get depressed, and some live without depression. why is that?

Differences: We are all made differently, cope with stress differently and all walk different paths in life (some more difficult than others): there are many causes of depression such as a positive family history, brain chemistry changes, medical illnesses (i.E thyroid disease), side effects from medications, major life stressors, substance use/abuse and history of abuse/trauma.

Differences: We all have different genetic predispositions and tolerances for depression. Some are more resilient than others. Some more sensitive or susceptible to negative moods. Some people have experienced more depression throughout their lives. Mostly based on the individual.
