Where can i go to get help for terrible depression?

Dr. Pamela Pappas answered

Specializes in Psychiatry

See your doctor: First step would be seeing your primary care physician for a general health evaluation. S/he may want to treat you with medication, but not all primary care doctors are comfortable with doing this. A psychiatrist can help you with a comprehensive mental health evaluation, and prescribe medications if needed. A psychotherapist is also an essential part of your treatment team. Good luck to you.
