Number of options...: If your son is otherwise healthy-it's best to first see how he is acting. If he is happy and playful you may want to just continue monitoring him. If he is unhappy and not himself, this may warrant a quick call to your local pediatrician-they would be able to give you specifics on antipyretics, dosing and frequency along with letting you know if he needs a visit for a thorough evaluation.

See md: First make sure that he is seen by his pediatrician to rule out a serious or bacterial infection that might need antibiotics. For the fever, alternating Acetaminophen an Ibuprofen , cool baths and light clothes always helps.
