I have infected tonsils on my right side, and experienced fevers, chill, and recurring migraines. dr gave me 10 days of amoxicillin for tonsillitis - im on the second day, still getting migraines, loss of appetite, and fatigue. is this normal?

Most tonsillitis is caused by viruses, and no virus responds to any antibiotic. Amoxicillin or others often are tried in hope they will speed healing, but often do not do so. And when an infection is bacterial (e.g. strep throat), it still takes a few days for antibiotics to start improving symptoms. Discuss with your doctor if you're not better after 4-5 days. Good luck.
