Invasive strept: Most people do not get invasive disease--except diabetics, cancer, immune deficient, kidney dialysis, big infected wound.

Immunosuppressed: As with other infections, those most at risk for invasive gas infection are the ones with chronic disease and/or immunosuppression. Open wounds that would allow strep to proceed into deeper tissues would also put the patient at risk.
