Viral: I am not clear why the antibiotics which are not useful or indicated for viral infections. He probably has coxsackie virus which will resolve on its own. Give him cool liquids, nothing spicy, soft foods and lots of fluids.

I was given a strep and flu test and was told it was negative. And they said it was a common cold, but then resented and gave me antibiotics (amoxicillin). My concern is the mouth ulcers have been growing in back of my throat and above my uvula?
