A member asked:

Can i give a tiny dose of ibuprofen to my 2th month old son. he jus had a circumcision .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tylenol (acetaminophen) preferable: Ibuprofen may increase chance of bleeding after the circumcision, so it is not advisable. It also causes much more GI distress in babies this young, so i would recommend using Acetaminophen (tylenol) instead. And don't give a tiny dose - give a dose appropriate for your child's weight or you might not as well give it at all.
