Fever: The issue really is not which fever reducer is ok to use. A baby of that age should not be treated for a fever that won't go away without knowing why? Have her evaluated by a pediatrician. :)

Yes, it has been: found to be safe in 6 month old infants, and your baby is close enough. Dose is 50 mg for every 12 # of weight every 6-8 hours. When febrile, it is best to judge baby's behavior, alertness, feeding,breathing problems, etc. to determine the need to be seen by a doctor. A fever more that 2-3 days should be evaluated. Ibuprofen can bother stomach, so caution if vomiting or eating poorly.
