A member asked:

How many consecutive days can i give my 16 month old son children's motrin (ibuprofen) (for teething) without causing harm? (his molars are coming in.)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Motrin and teething: Motrin if given in appropriate doses for weight and time intervals, every 6 to 8 hrs, is a safe medicine for toddlers and teething. However in there is a history of stomach disorders, kidney problems or bleeding issues it would be best to consult a pediatrician first. Certainly teething and with molars can be a rough go of it, no doubt. I wouldn't recommend using frequently or longer than 5-7d.
