Sudafed: It is fine to add the sudafed exactly as directed. If you have a sinus infection you could also use a nasal decongestant like afrin or dristan to avoid all of the systemic side effects associated with sudafed.

Yes you can use suda: Yes it can be used and will help with the congestion and it is safe to take in recommended doseas long as you do not suffer from high blood pressure and can tolerate it.
