I went to the dentist to have 3 fillings done about a week ago now my whole mouth hurts horribly bad mainly my cheeks and jaw what could be causing it?

Muscle spasms: Often times when the mouth is held open for a long time during a procedure the muscles that control the jaw movements go into spasm and hurt very much. Usually time takes care of it but i would recommend advil (ibuprofen) and heat packs to try and get some relief now.

Muscle pain: Holding your mouth open for a long time can strain the muscles and cause some spasms. Return to your dentist for some help.
