Menopause: True menopause occurs on average at age 54. If your hysterectomy did not include removal of both ovaries, you will have symptoms of menopause ("hot flashes", irritability, etc.) long before age 54. Depression can be a result of ovarian failure and your anorexia can be increased therefrom. Treatment for anorexia is generally psychologic therapy, but further weight loss should be avoided.

Anorexia: Anorexia is likely to be an emotional issue. I suggest you first set up an appointment with a Psychologist. You will soon learn if this is the best approach or if you need to see a gastrointestinal specialist and/or neurologist.
