Need thyroid lab: It sounds like you have a thyroid nodule that shows increased uptake on a thyroid scan ("hot" nodule). These nodules are almost always benign. However, if is causing your thyroid blood level to be high, it still needs treatment. If you have a high thyroid level and the nodule is not "hot", it would need biopsy.
