I have a lump in neck after left thyroidectomy. what can it be?

How soon?: For the first month or two after thyroid surgery you can have "inflammation and scar tissue" leading to the area feeling "lumpy". You can also have lymph nodes which will react to the surgery. If the area is red warm and tender it might be an infection. You should bring it to the attention of your surgeon. If it has been years since your surgery... Get an appointment to be seen for follow-up.

You need a workup: You may need ultrasound-guided needle biopsy.
