Just had a total thyroidectomy and 10 days after rai treatment for papillary cancer body scan revealed that the lymph nodes are affected on left side.?
I found a small bean sized lump in the lower left side of my neck, its smooth and about 1cm. There isnt one on the other side, no pain or redness. Is this likely to be cancer? Can you feel normal lymph nodes? In the neck?

Total thyroidectomy was NOT cancer. 3 years later ultra sound now says 6mm hypoechoic nodule may be residual thyroid vs benign appearing lymph node.
I'm a wreck now I have pain in my left side of neck feels like a lump in lymph node. Had a lump removed about 2 years ago. No cancer. Feels the same. Tylenol seems to help pain..such a wreak always in pain?
