Probably Flu: You probably have a virus infection due to flu. Try taking tylenol (acetaminophen) which will stop the shivering. You can repeat tylenol (acetaminophen) every 6-8 hourly till the cold goes away in the next 3-5 days. Be prepared to go see your doctor if the fever doe snot settle down in 2-3 days.
