4-6 weeks: If you had your uterus and cervix removed completely there are sutures at the area where the cervix used to be, there is a discharge which can be blood tinged that occurs while those are dissolving. If you had a supracervical hysterectomy which leaves behind the cervix some women still continue to have cyclic bleeding due to small amounts of retained endometrium.
