Sciatica pain: If this occurs only in the same lower limb, you should suspect sciatica or radiculopathy. Sciatica is a nerve condition caused by pinching/ entrapment of one of the nerve roots that exits the spinal cord at the l4-l5-s1 lumbar spine and forms the sciatic nerve. This nerve travels the length of the extremity down the limb, and when pinched, cause the pain w/c spreads down to the foot.
