Easy to check: These symptoms would not be typical of a clot. Most clots are relatively silent, though could have swelling or sometimes redness of the skin in the area. These symptoms you describe sound more like a nerve issue. It's easy enough to get a doppler ultrasound of your leg to check for clot if you're concerned. Having your hip and your lower back evaluated could also be quite important.
