Depends on context: If the triglyceride level was obtained after you'd eaten, it means nothing. A lone elevated triglyceride level is a marker for increased coronary risk, though to what extent focusing on a lone abnormality instead of addressing the larger lifestyle issues that may be present isn't clear to me despite decades of following the business. Your physician may be able to give further guidance.
