Triglycerides: It depends on how high. Very high levels can cause complications such a pancreatitis. However, most people who have elevated tg are between 150-400, and those levels generally don't cause significant disease. Avoid foods high in fat such as fast food, desserts, cheese, and rich meats. High tg are often seen in patients with diabetes and Insulin resistant states.
