I have atear in my achles tendion..i now have cast on it what else can be donefor the pain..?

OTC or Rx meds: Pain is a normal response after both inury and surgery/treatment. Over time, it will go away. If it is severe enough to impact function, then depending on other medical conditions and medications, over the counter meds like acetaminophen, Ibuprofen or naprosyn (naproxen) can help. But check with your physician first as they may not be for everyone. Stronger pain meds like narcotics may be used for short time.
