Depends: Your mouth will be numb during your surgery. If you are extremely apprehensive, most surgeons and some dentists who remove wisdom teeth can provide options for sedation or general anesthesia that will allow you to have a very comfortable procedure with little or no recall. You will likely receive pain meds to take postop, but, how we each deal with pain/discomfort afterwards may vary greatly.

Varies: It really depends on many factors: location of the wisdom teeth, medical issues, skill level of the doctor, patient compliance, position of the wisdom teeth etc. See a dentist or an oral surgeon for a consultation. Often, the wisdom teeth removal procedure is routine and patients do well and recover quickly. Good luck.
