Depends: If your wisdom teeth are not symptomatic (decayed, causing or contributing to pathologic problems with adjacent structures. I.E., infections, periodontal problems or associated cysts) and you are able to keep them clean and healthy, there may be no significant health risks if you keep them. Your dentist can advise you after a clinical and radiographic exam where all of the teeth can be visualized.

Wisdom teeth: There may be no risk if there is enough room for them to come into their intended position in the mouth. If problematic, they can increase the risk of cavities and periodontal problems to the teeth just in front of them. If angular impaction, they have been know to resorb root of 2nd molars. Cysts ; infections also possible. Infections can destroy bone and spread infection to other parts of body.
