What kind of complications might happen from a myomectomy?

Rare: The biggest concerns for a myomectomy is that in time more fibroids can develop, requiring future surgery to fix, and that a future pregnancy will need to be delivered by cesarean. Patients may also have scar tissue in the abdomen after the procedure, which does usually cause problems, but can make future surgery more difficult. Damage to bowel, bladder, or ureter are rare but possible.
