A member asked:

I've been on klonopin (clonazepam) for panic attacks for a while just curious what medication do they give to wing you off or when they change my medication?

"Wing"? or "wean"?: Weaning off Klonopin (clonazepam) can be done via gradually smaller doses of klonopin (clonazepam). For panic disorder, Klonopin (clonazepam) is not usually used by itself -- there are more reliable & less habit-forming treatments. Ssri antidepressants can effectively prevent panic attacks, while you're also in psychotherapy learning about your triggers & how to deal with them. If you haven't yet seen a psychiatrist, please do.
