2 schools of thought: Some physicians handle thyroid replacement by how the patient feels, others by the labs. Bear in mind that clinical labs do make mistakes, and remember that your gp is worried about liability 50 years down the road if you get osteoporosis. Since you are not satisfied, you'd do best to get an endocrinology consult. Good luck.

Treat by lab: Don't treat by symptoms alone, normalize your lab studies. Thyroiditis itself can alter lab studies in variable ways. Your endo should be aware of all this. If not, consider a second opinion. You would have to talk to your gp to see why they have that opinion.
