Hi. sudden spike in bp whilst resting. 211/185 pulse 72. not anxious. headache left sided and severe. went down to 156/85 quickly. why?

#'s probably wrong: I have never seen anyone have a blood pressure of 211/185. The bottom number (diastolic) is too high. I could believe 211/130, but 211/185 not possible in my opinion. Did you check the numbers with a home meter? The numbers are wrong. Go with the 156/85, that is more likely your real pressure, which is indeed high. If you have a a bad headache, you should report this to your doctor immediately.
