Negative for rapid strep test today. signs of strep are apparent. mainly a stuffy nose, fever, and sore white throat, not super tired. mono or strep?

Probably strep: Sounds more like strep, rapid strep cultures are only 70% accurate and separate longer test is much advisable along with the rapid, strep patients also sometimes state having the feeling of a golf ball inthere throat which is usually a hallmark sign for the condition, mono patients are usually excessively tired and have swollen cervical lymph nodes or it could very well just be a bad virus.
