A member asked:

My sister says she has spondylolisthesis. are family members more likely to get the same thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps: There are several types or causes of spondylolisthesis (slippage forward of one spinal bone on top of the one below it). It is not strictly inherited (as in a single gene), but the tendency toward it probably is influenced genetically.
