That is one way to: Address your problem. Lifestyle changes like weight control, not smoking & regular exercise program are important as well as adequate vit d & calcium. Intake. Most are treated non operatively with good core strengthening being a key component of the treatment.

Yes: Core strengthening is very helpful for the pain you are experiencing with your back. Also core strength will decrease the rate of ajacent segment wear and tear.
