A member asked:

Will breast lift and augmentation surgery (3 weeks ago) cause my cholesterol levels to increase? 7, 2 today!

No: A breast augmentation/lifting surgery itself has no direct correlation with a rise in cholesterol or triglyceride levels. However, if your diet and/or exercise level has changed in the past several weeks, these factors may have played a role. Your internist will be able to give you a more precise answer and advice.

Breast surgery: If you were taking meds for cholesterol and stopped due to surgery then yes it can go up otherwise the two are not related.
