A member asked:

How long is normal to have acid reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly forever: Reflux is a natural event where stomach contents bubble up into the lover esophagus. Belching/burping are a dry form of reflux. It is when the acid backwash produces symptoms that people feel the pain & get the disease label.Nicotine, caffeine & laying down after eating aggravate the process.Avoiding those helps it. Medications can help for a while but changing lifestyle choices helps more.
