Chronic cough.: There are generally three things that can cause a chronic cough - reflux, allergies and asthma. Reflux is pretty high on the list.

Frequently occurs: but then, there are a lot of causes of chronic cough. Certainly would be an indication to AVOID eating even a couple hours before lying down, not eating very large meals, avoiding carbonation, etc.

Yes, esp in AM: Yes, a chronic cough is 1 of the signs of acid reflux. Also, post-nasal drip (allergies), asthma, & lung problems could cause similar symptoms. These conditions cd be excluded by a good doctor asking questions & perhaps some basic testing. Without knowing more, it's hard to say which condition is causing the cough. R u taking antacid medications? TTYD about ur Sx & see if something is being missed
