Probably nothing: A 2 cm cyst is usually normal - check with your doctor to see he/she recommends anything further.

Maybe just wait: This is best discussed with the physician that made the diagnosis. It may be as simple as waiting for it to go away on its own. It may also involve laparoscopy to address it, but most likely it is a wait and then get another ultrasound.

Observation: If ultrasound demonstrated a normal appearing simple cyst without solid components.Most cysts don't cause any symptoms and go away on their own.Most common is a functional cyst. It forms during ovulation. Sometimes rupture and cause transient symptoms.Large cysts can pressure bladder or rectum.Sudden, severe abdominal or pelvic pain , pain accompanied by fever and vomiting see physician immediately.
