Ovary is CysticOrgan: Each egg which develops is surrounded by a sphere of follicular cells which support the egg cell ; secrete fluid inward resulting in cysts, typically no symptoms; occasionally cysts become very large (no egg release; ∴ infertile). Sometimes one, or several follicles will become much larger than usual ; easier to see on ultrasound. In metabolic syndrome ; diabetes cysts ; infertility ↑↑; ∴ ↓carb.

Time or surgery: Cysts on the ovary will frequently go away on their own with time (2-3 months). If they are persistent and large, laparoscopic surgery is usually the treatment of choice. At surgery, they can be shelled out of the ovary and removed. Sometimes what appears to be an ovarian cyst on ultrasound is found at surgery to be something else such as a fluid fill ovarian tumor or fallopian tube cyst.
