X linked affect men: Dear sufferer; because women inherent 2 x- chromosomes, even if one is problematic the other "healthy" is enough. Men who inherent 1 x are therefore affected if the x is dysfunctional. So, in most cases, inherited vulnerability to illness in women is not x-linked. As treatment response tends to cluster as well, hopefully there is something that has been helpful to your family.
