Hsv 1/ 2 -- result for 1 was indeterminate and 2 was neg. tested again 5 mos later for igg (not type specific). test was reactive. why now reactive?

Not formed yet: The bodies initial response is with igm, which is less specific. The immune system then produces permanent antibodies igg, which appear around 3 months. Blood test has to be ordered for type specific igg type i or type ii.
