I got tested recently and my hsv 1 igg, type specific ab was 54.80h. i did eat before my blood test. i dont understand how, my bf is my third kiss and only person ive kiss constantly, the other 2 were once. i dont understand?

HSV-1 is commonly known as the cause of cold sores. It is common and many people have this, even kids who have never dated/kissed anyone except their family members. This is likely because when you were little, you were kissed a million times a day by your parents who may have transmitted the virus to you then…there is no cure but easily treated/suppressed when needed. Agree with Dr. N. You probably acquired HSV 1 as a child. Except in immunosuppressed individuals, it does not cause any issues other than occasional cold sores.
