Possibly: It is common for a polyp to bleed a bit. However a rupture sounds like a bit of a stretch, but possible.

Sigmoid polyp removed in colonoscopy. Got 2nd gi's opinion + 2nd scope 3 months later. He saw colitis in sigmoid, but biopsies normal. Both gis diagnosis me w ibs. How am i still bleeding and having fevers?
