Need GI: Sounds like two problems: Upper GI and Lower GI. Bleeding in your age range is usually hemorrhoidal disease (as your GP stated). Upper GI could be gastritis related or a complication of your surgery. You likely need eval with upper and lower endoscopy by GI and possible follow up w surgery.
