Wood: Sorry to hear but there are several qualified well trained surgeons that can use magnified loop lens to help see tiny fibers like wood. The irritation however may not be from the wood anymore but the scar from the previous surgeries.

Wood: First you don't give up , but some of the irritation may be the tissue injury form the surgery itself as well as scar tissue. You may need to see another podiatrist for help . Good luck.
