I had a patellofemoral ligament reconstruction of my left knee almost two years ago. i have now a huge ball of scar tissue. painful! the doctor told me by looking at the mri that i have a lot of scar tissue and i need a new surgery to remove.tips ?

Painful,scar: While surgery can remove the current scar tissue, the same process will also produce new scar tissue. Unless you had an infection or secondary problem that caused the excess scarring, I would have a Frank discussion with your surgeon about what steps can be taken to prevent a re occurrence. Range of motion, massage post heat can help,both current problem and post surgery ones as well. Good luck
