You asked this question past weekend. If you want to run or jump again, you should go for surgery for a full recovery of your ankle function. You are too young to give up run and jump. Good luck!

With most joint injuries once the ligament are torn the only thing protecting your joints are then the muscles. You can try strengthening muscle to try and stabilize the joint. Ankle braces can help as well. Not easy but requires good habits.
