Multivitamin: As long as children eat a good variety of foods, vitamins are not required. If a child has poor food variety, give a multivitamin. If missing good milk intake, make sure it has vitamin d and calcium. If they are not eating iron rich foods like red meat and green leafy vegetables make sure vitamin has iron. Some studies suggest children may benefit from extra fatty acids like fish oils.
