One multivitamin: One children's multivitamin should have enough vitamin C when combined with the dietary vitamin C in the typical American diet. Much of the food and drink in the US is fortified, so extra vitamin C is rarely needed. Even a multivitamin is usually not needed, but is fine to give a child just in case her diet is not balanced. Adding one tangerine a day is great too.
