My allergies are getting terrible could this be why my lymph nodes are swollen under my jaw?

Probably yes: Lymph nodes, including the tonsils (which are specialized lymph nodes) can be swollen in people with allergies, more so when poorly controlled. See at least your physician, or make an appointment with a board-certified allergist/immunologist. Still, other causes need to be ruled out.

Unlikely: Allergies may make you more susceptible to an upper respiratory infection but do not normally cause lymphadenopathy. Possibly you are palpating the submandibular salivary glands which can be tender with allergies and feel like growths but are normal and along the jaw line at the mid portion on each side. If you do have lymph nodes which are usually lower and do not resolve an exam is necessary.
