I sometimes get bumps on my head could that be swollen lymph nodes?

Possible: But the best thing to do is to see a doctor and have these examined when they arise, so that an appropriate diagnosis and course of action is possible.

Unlikely: There are no lymph nodes in the scalp. The bumps are likely to be inflammation of hair follicles, folliculitis. Wash your hair daily with any shampoo. If that does not help see your doctor for an evaluation.
