Local$ General $$$$: General anesthesia - significantly more expensive. But well worth the expense for a smooth and comfortable experience during surgery.

General: General anesthesia requires presence of anesthesia provider when local can be handled by surgeon alone. Additional equipment is also required and adds cost. Safety and comfort of the patient should be primary concern when desiding what type of anesthesia to use.

See below: Probably the general anesthetic would be more expensive, but it depends on where it is done. In an operating room you would also be paying the hospital charges for the or, as well as the nurses. The cost of the actual anesthetic would be on top of this.

General: General is likely to be more expensive, but frankly relative to the cost of the or it is a minor difference.

Very Little Diff: once you have an anesthesiologist in the OR, you will probably save little with Local Only. On the other hand, the presence of an anesthesiologist has many advantages including the fact that this person is specifically there to care for your bodily functions and is not preoccupied with "getting the job done".
